I've heard a lot about this product so I thought I'd give the roll-on bottle a try- and boy does it live up to its name!
Biofreeze is a form of cryotherapy, which basically means cold therapy. It contains a natural menthol, so I feel like its a pretty safe product to use. I'm guessing this product works by stimulating the large diameter nerves that carry the cool sensation- thereby blocking pain which is carried on small diameter nerves. Other forms of (cryo)therapy that use this principle include TENS units, spray and stretch, and plain old ice.
I consider useful Biofreeze Gel 3 Oz. ROLL-ON - 3 PACK- minor aches and pains that we all get now and then, although if you have a consistent problem, it would probably be good to get at the cause as Biofreeze mainly treats symptoms temporarily.
